History of Ankara

Ankara, which is located in Central Anatolia, is the capital of Turkey. With a population of around 4 million, Ankara is the second largest city of Turkey. The history of the capital city dates back to the Bronze Age since it hosts many civilizations including Hittites, Lydians, Persians, Celtics, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and Ottomans.
